Carnegie Mellon University: Maggie Murph Café
The renovation of the Maggie Murph Café in Carnegie Mellon University’s Hunt Library advances the library’s shift from a traditional book repository to a dynamic environment that supports both focused study and collaborative work. The project right-sizes the servery and counter area for a popular local coffee shop while relocating storage and dishwashing to an acoustically separated back-of-house zone. Exposed ceilings and a refined color palette establish a design language that will guide future phases of the library’s renovation.
