Perkins Eastman designed a 120,000-sf standalone Pre-K–8 school for the New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) in East New York, Brooklyn, serving 1,000 students. The five-story building is vertically organized, with public and early childhood spaces at grade, special needs and District 75 programs above, and elementary and middle school classrooms on the upper floors. Program spaces include classrooms and specialty spaces, a cafeteria with full kitchen, greenhouse, gymatorium, and age-appropriate playgrounds.
