Carnegie Mellon University: The Posner Center for Special Collections
The renovation of the Posner Center for Special Collections consolidated CMU Libraries’ special collections storage, research, and exhibition spaces under one roof, greatly improving accessibility for campus and visiting scholars. The project introduced flexible exhibition and research areas, a digitization lab and AV studio, and secure, climate-controlled storage to support diverse academic and public programs. Thoughtfully modernizing the original building, the redesign honors its craftsmanship while elevating both the architecture and the University’s rare collections.
