Department of General Services Headquarters Offices
The Washington, DC Department of General Services (DGS) Headquarters is a new six-story, 258,000 SF building completed on an 18-month fast-tracked schedule as part of the Northeast Heights Development in Ward 7. It is the first government office building to open under Mayor Muriel Bowser’s initiative to locate District agencies East of the Anacostia River, supporting the growth of historically underserved neighborhoods. The building targets LEED v4 BD+C Silver certification and features Class-A interiors, outdoor terraces, a fitness center, and a public café. Designed for DGS, it also offers flexibility for future multi-tenant use and includes a mix of retail and office spaces.
